"You can't see anything from a car; you've got to get out of the goddamn contraption and walk, better yet crawl, on hands and knees, over the sandstone and through the thornbrush and cactus. When traces of blood begin to mark your trail, you'll see something, maybe." ~ Ed Abbey

AJAC Honors GM Canada

December 6, 2007

The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) has released the winners of their annual awards to recognize the best new vehicle in each category. AJAC evaluated about 60 vehicle models during the AJAC Test Fest. The data gatered in this evaluation will be also the basis in selecting the winners of the Canadian Car of the Year Awards (CCOTY).

Five models from GM Canada made it to the list and was ranked as the highest in their respective segments. They include the Saturn Astra, Saturn Vue, Buick Enclave, and the Chevrolet Silverado. The GMC Sierra also made it into the list of the best pick up truck models.

Marc Comeau vice president of sales, service and marketing for GM of Canada commented: “We’re honoured by these awards from Canada’s top automotive journalists, which we think will help consumers appreciate the strides GM has made in terms of product design, technology, fuel efficiency and quality. With surprising levels of content and benefits like OnStar and GM’s leading coverage, customers get much more for their money with a GM vehicle today.”
