Instructions:
1. There are two categories of car jacking. There are car jacks that occur while cars are stopped on roadways - at lights, stop signs or before turns. Most, though, take place in parking lots when the drivers are entering or exiting their cars. Half of all these attempts to carjack a car succeed.
2. Think about your safety because it is what matters. Whenever you are approached by car jackers, give your car and run immediately. If you see them coming, throw away the keys and run in the different direction. Never attempt to do things that will provoke the road criminals. Keep in mind that they are armed and that they travel in groups. Your safety is the only thing that matters.
3. Drive when you need to drive and avoid entertaining phone calls or even turning the radio on. Car jackers, thieves and rapists target those who are distracted. So, pay attention to your surroundings instead. Make sure you are looking between cars. Know your destination exactly, down to the door that you will enter once you get to your destination.
4. After feeling secure, park your car where there is light found and where there are as many people if possible. Avoid wedging your car into tight spaces that provide no escape route for you. Look around once again before leaving your car.
5. If you are going to exit using your vehicle, make sure to walk away quickly. Make sure you also locked the door of your car and immediately approach a well lighted area. A place where many people are found is also a good place to stay.
6. Follow the same process when you go back to your car. Always have your keys in your hands so it is always ready to be used. Get into your car, lock it, turn it on, and get going. Don’t hang around. Locked doors don’t stop guns. You’re not really out of carjacking danger until you’re moving at about 15 miles per hour.
7. If your car needs to stop for signs, turns and lights, make sure you are giving your car enough space especially if you are in between of vehicles. You will be avoiding from being trapped if a car jacker approaches. Then if a car jacker approaches, you can leave the car easily.
There you have it guys. So it’s easy to run away from those road criminals. You only need to know the effective steps to avoid getting across and meet them. Follow the simple tips and stay safe.
